As Lehi continues to grow, so do the demands on our roads and infrastructure. Transportation isn’t just a city issue—it’s a regional one, and it affects everything from our daily commutes to our quality of life.
We all know the challenges: east-west traffic remains a major concern, and growth is only adding more pressure. But solutions won’t come from quick fixes—they’ll come from thoughtful planning, regional collaboration, and a long-term vision.
That’s why we must:
Work closely with neighboring cities, UDOT, and state leaders to advocate for coordinated, effective infrastructure investments.
Focus on future-ready transportation—with designs that improve traffic flow, prioritize safety, and support our growing community.
Plan for connectivity that supports residents, businesses, schools, and families alike.
Lehi deserves roads that make sense, safe crossings for our kids, and infrastructure that keeps pace with our growth—without compromising the character of our city.
By staying at the table and leading with common sense and cooperation, we can build a transportation system that works today and tomorrow.

Lehi’s parks, trails, and open spaces are more than amenities—they’re part of who we are. These spaces bring families together, support healthy lifestyles, and strengthen our neighborhoods.
We’ve already seen what’s possible when our community works together. The Family Park is a shining example of vision, collaboration, and persistence. Now, we have a new opportunity with Mellor-Rhodes Park—but we need to get it right. That means listening to residents and creating a space that serves our community today and into the future.
Willow Park also shows what’s possible when the city steps up. By taking full responsibility, Lehi demonstrated its commitment to creating and maintaining vibrant public spaces.
These are just three examples of many across Lehi that show how vital parks and open spaces are to our daily lives.
But we can’t stop here. We must:
Prioritize maintenance and upgrades for existing parks and trail systems.
Ensure every neighborhood has access to safe, clean, and welcoming outdoor spaces.
Protect and expand open spaces as our population grows.
Investing in parks is investing in our quality of life.

Housing in Lehi is a community and generational issue—not just a city one. As we continue to grow, the question isn't how to stop growth—it's how to shape it responsibly.
We’re at a turning point. Families are feeling the pressure of housing affordability, and the next generation is wondering if they’ll be able to stay here. The solutions require a balanced, forward-thinking approach.
That means:
Using creative tools like updated zoning, flexible development codes, and thoughtful density strategies.
Partnering closely with landowners and developers to set clear, fair expectations.
Ensuring that developments reflect our community values and long-term needs.
We can embrace growth without sacrificing what makes Lehi special. With smart planning and collaborative leadership, we can ensure our city remains a place where families can thrive for generations to come.
